Traction control

When I have wheel spin in the first couple gears how does the ecu limit power?

The reason I ask is that I am thinking of running a manual boost controller for my hybrid turbo project. I am concerned that the ecu is going to freak the hell out and throw a code if it can not limit boost when I have wheel spin

Shut off the ESP by pressing the button. It also controls the "all-speed traction control" that will close the throttle as needed. You CANNOT turn off the EDL, but it only works up to 25 MPH.

And the ECU won't care, however, your CV joints will.

It cuts throttle when it detects spin in any gear. Turn ESP off. The best computer is still your brain telling your right foot your wheel is spinning and back off the throttle a bit till traction is achieved.
