Wow. That labor is brutal. I'd at least buy one and replace to not have to go back in there or contaminate the others in the process. Your call but you can ask BostonAudi about his bad injector experience on his K04 build. He had a brand new injector from the dealer do the same thing under moderate and high throttle. And honestly the fact that it was "serviced" means absolutely nothing other than more chance to become contaminated.

Injector is $71 from: https://www.1stvwparts.com/partscat.html

INJECTOR [Part# 06F906036A]
List Price:$98.00
Your Price:$71.74

Have tried this believe me! I fill up at Caltex that has Techron in thier fuel already and added 2 more bottles of injector cleaner ( think there was more cleaner than fuel in the tank).

That's pretty much all you have to work with: spark (plugs & coils) then go to fueling. Since you have no other fuel codes I'm going with that injector and I would just replace it. $71 and your probably done. The only other thing I would consider is putting a scope in that cylinder to take a look around and make sure there is no weird physical damage to the cylinder, piston, or valves. Good luck dude.

Doesn't pulling out the injectors require a special tool or you risk damaging them? If you pull that one out with vice grips it save you that tool. Consider it sacrificial and replace that evil injector. You'll just make it harder on you. Look you're even kicking your damn car. You just need to fix that mofo.

Buy SA-GTI some beer, hookers, and blow, and then you guys can have a GTI party.

I was getting similar misfires this winter and swapped out all plugs and all coilpacks for NGK Iridium plugs and Revision F coilpacks. Usually best to do everything at once in a system like that.

Are you tuned? I've heard issues of the coilpacks deteriorating quicker with a tune and stock HPFP. Something with increased voltage being sent to them... but if your're stock I wouldn't worry about that.

Yes, i'm completely stock. I had the guy from Unitronic check out the HPFP and he said its fine. Also did the cam follower change now at 120 000KM. The old one wasn't in bad condition and the cam is not scratched or anything. Also swapped coil packs again last night, but it still misfires. But heres the thing..... while driving around last night i changed into third and it started misfiring.... i did not let of the gas and rev'd up to 6K RPM with it misfiring and then came to a halt. It started a constant misfire on idle, the car could barely take off. So i pulled to the side of the road and turned off the engine, waited a minute and started up again. The misfires at went away on idle, just an intermittent one now and then.

Another thing i failed to mention is that when the car is cold it doesn't misfire all that bad only once it reaches 90c.

What do you guys think?
