Catalyst threshold??

Ok so I got a CEL the other day, had it checked out by the VW dealer
needless to say I'm 95 dollars short and confused

They said it was a code p0429 (Cat bank 1 below threshold)
Obviously they aren't going to fix my AWE cat so my question is

WHAT does that even mean, AWE said they could handle it but i don't want to be in the dark

Sounds like an exhaust leak... check all the connections.

I've had mine for 30k miles... no codes ever. Had to retighten it several times. Also, you may need new clamps, the ones that came with it are insufficient for keeping it tight.
