This was never suggested by the mechanic and I have never flushed the brakes so I figured why not. Ummm yeah it def improved everything significantly and I'm pretty sure its not supposed to be that color :barf::eyebulge:

Not sure about VW, but most owner's manuals / maintenance books have a recommended brake flush interval of every 2 (maybe 3) years. Most people ignore it, but with brake fluid's ability to absorb moisture - flushing is a good idea. Both to prevent hot brakes from boiling the fluid (its boiling temperature drops with increasing moisture contamination), and to minimize internal brake line rusting (due to trapped water).

Been doing flushes every year or two, get a motive power bleeder and a catch bottle, makes this a 30 minute job.

good lord.

Yah. After the hurricane the brakes felt terrible(No pressure) a quick order for a bleeder and fluid was needed. I'll do this every 2 years. Prob should do a trans flush since im pretty sure thats never been done either.
