can vag com show if you have a tune?

I've had my GTI for a while now and i know it was previously modified by the first owner, but i was told everything was returned to stock. It wasnt heavily modified but it feels a bit faster than my friends 08 GTI that i drove but i have no engine mods or exhaust or whatnots. Mine is an 07, so is there a way i can find out if i have a tune, and what company did it if i do? I was told to just get a boost gauge to see the numbers but that wouldnt tell me the company if it is tuned. Will a vag com cable show up any info that would let me know?

Boost logs. Stock will peak @ 11. Anything over will be tuned.

^Like he said but no it won't tell you the tuner. You can phone around all the major company's though and give them your vin number. That way they can tell you if they have mapped it in the past.

I actually tried this, but with email. The good news is that GIAC confirmed it.

The bad news is that most of the other vendors were complete dicks.
