Broken Washer Fluid Tube

So the tube that feeds washer fluid to the windshield broke, the part attached to the base of the hood on the left side leading to the engine bay. Its a hard plastic line that snapped, probably from freezing fluid or dry rot. Any recommendations on how to fix it, I was just going to find a similar size rubber tubing and connect the broken ends back together. How would I go about removing the line completely to put a new washer fluid tube in though?

I imagine replacing it would be a pain in the ass. Mine broke in what sounds like the same spot. I used a small piece of rubber hose with the inner diameter to fit over the broken ends and used small zip ties on each side of the rubber hose. It has held and worked for over a year now

That's close to what I was going to do, guess I'm Jerry Rigging it then, I'll find some similar tubing and connect the ends back together. Thanks for the response.
