Does VW Credit refinance?

I purchased my 09 GTI in Feb 09. At the time VW was only offering 5.9% APR for 60 months.

Now, my credit union is offering 2.9% refinancing for all 07+ cars.

Has anyone ever gotten VW credit to lower their APR as part of a refinancing?

Re-register the car

What?

Call the credit union and ask them about it.

You won't need to reregister the car, if it was a lease yes because the lease holder owns it, if its a finance you "own" the car so the registration is to you. All they would do is VW credit would send a letter saying it was paid off and the new bank would send a letter saying they now have the lien. If your registration card says anything about the lien they would just send you a new card shouldn't be anything you have to do. You are the "owner" and that doesn't change.

Keep your money local and support your credit union!

Re-register your car? You wont have to lift a finger beyond applying for the new loan and signing the docs.
