Rough starting

Past few months car starts rough.
Sounds like dead battery, but battery is new and checks out fine.
What else should I check.
68,000 miles

Is this "morning sickness" or every time you start the car (all warmed up etc.)? Try this:
Turn the ignition on to prime fuel but don't crank it. Turn the ignition off. Now turn it all the way to the crank position. If it starts right up, it's probably the check valve in the fuel pump. Your battery should spin the engine pretty effortlessly. If it doesn't, you probably should have it load tested? (What does "checks out fine" mean?) Last, (but not least) are you low on oil?
