[Help] Suspension Clunks

Hello all. I just bought a MKV and noticed in the right rear quarter I have a clink or clunk going on. Any movement and I can hear it. For example, when I push down on the rear bumper the clunk happens. It sounds like it's coming from the top shock mount but I am not sure. I lifted the car and shook everything, checked bushings, and found nothing loose. Any idea what it could be?

So I am having the same issue on my GLI. If the suspension has been modified it could be loose/worn top mount. I think what is more likely going on is there is a worn bushing in the rear, maybe a swaybar bushing, or control arm or trailing arm bushing.
