Need help locating tdc on flywheel

I'm doing my timing belt and I think the cam may have skipped a tooth while removing the old belt. The crank didn't move but I want to be sure the cam was in the right position to begin with. Where is the slot to locate tdc on the flywheel on the mkv? Thanks!

I found it after cleaning with some brake cleaner. So it looks like it was off before I took the belt off. The cam is back a tooth and the crank appears forward a few teeth which I assume is normal since every one rotation of the crank is half a rotation for the cam correct? So do I move them or put the belt on as is?

Anybody know? The cam is back a tooth and the crank is forward a few teeth? Should I move them and if so do I start with the cam or crank?
