What tyres?

Hi,

New member here got continentals on my mk 5 gti was wondering what anyone thought was better, as i dont think they are very good.:biggrin:

Well, it depends what you are looking for out of the tire. If you bought this car for pure pleasure and fun, go get some Toyo's or some Eagle 1's...maybe some kick ass yokohoma's...even though the yoko's wear super fast...best bet would be get some toyo's, they look nice, last about 30,000...good performance tire.

the performance tire that I have lived and died by, whether others agree or not, is Hankook. They're not crazy expensive, like nitto's and Yokohama's but very durable..had them on my prelude and never thought twice about changing them...of course its what you want, handling, little wear and tear, heat durability, winter performanc, etc...

Hankook are great on dry road - anything else the rubber gets a 'greasy-ness' and slips alot.

Need to know what you want the tires for all weather, summer only, etc. It would help to know.
