Has anyone ever had a case of no check engine light but a bunch of new fault codes during a scan?

All just happened to be hidden away only seen due to a scan cause I started having the car rev on its own up to 2000 rpm. But didn't expect all of those.
The common cause across 80-90% of those seem to be a vacuum leak or some misconnected pipe otherwise....its an expensive bill adding up there. EDIT: It also seems a number of them recommends looking at the Crankcase Breather Valve (PCV if I'm not correct) under special notes (RossTech).
The car seems to be running fine no loss of power that I can sense. Car is running smooth now - even the rev issue disappeared on its own. Gremlins?
Can someone help explain to me why the check engine light did not come on? (there were no codes that indicated any dash related item needed switching).
