When I unplugged the throttle body sensor, it did seem to *help* the idle but I could NOT throttle past 2k rpms. Just decided to have it towed home :thumbdown: When I tried to realign the tb plate via the keys in ACC possition, I couldnt tell if I heard the buzzing of the plate moving. I googling around to see how to do the adaption via vagcom

TB align; http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Throttle_Body_Alignment_(TBA)

VCDS says fuse most likely cause for P0123 and battery too low for P1564 with the addition of "for NAR BPY";
Check VW TSB 01-09-04 or 2018652 for a wiring repair at the Throttle Body.
Check for proper seating at the ignition coils.

Check TB fuse and battery voltage.
Connect to battery charger for TBAlignment.

Likely happened at start up when leaving work...battery charge too low and was under voltage during basic setting.

interesting on the battery voltage issue because literally within 10min or so I had only 10v showing and couldnt start the car. Going to call the dealership right now and see if its falls under warranty.

EDIT- nope VIN doesnt fall under the tech bulletin.

Hopefully it's covered...my throttle body was replaced years ago. Good luck, hope the tech bulletin remains in place to this day.

Still looking like a wiring/fuse issue. Doubting the throttle issue is resolved and now it's a lpfp or controller issue? Both the throttle and this new code are wiring related. Not sure the best direction to point you in for investigating a wiring problem. Could just be a poor ground somewhere if you aren't seeing a fuse or two blown out.

Fuses are at the side of the dash...driver's side. There's more right of the battery.

I don't know...I couldn't get a matching fuse layout from the dealership when I tried. They gave me printouts of every build period and none of them matched mine with regards to and comparing the number of Amps-to-slot number. My build period showed 8 different amperage fuses to be in slots mine had a different amp fuse in. So, I tossed all of the printouts...otherwise, I could've looked it up for you. You can go to your dealership and give your build date and VIN to retrieve a printout and see if it matches. Then, all of the slots are listed as to what they are for.

Guess it was the battery?
last week I DC'd the battery to reset the ecu. Next morning it started up and no codes came up..

Hope it continues and the battery stays charged...or a new battery keeps it in check.
