so if i wanted to install foglights, but dont have the highline, is it not possible in any way?

Of course it's possible. If you don't want to invest enough to use all OEM stuff and make it perfectly match the service manual (which may require a new ECU and such, if that's what all this "highline" talk is about, IMO way overboard for installing some fog lights) just do it the same way it's been done for decades on all manufacturers' cars. It's not hard to get electricity to lights and to wire switches/relays for the behavior you want. Lights aren't rocket science even if manufacturers are trying to make it that way.

Hi Everyone,
I'm going to sound like a right idiot now but I really want to install FOG Lights on to my golf but it currently hasn't got them. I really want to do it myself I recon I can just need a clear instructions of how to do it step by step, would anyone mind helping me out??
