Check out what Ruksbar1 has posted on someone elses posting, I guess hes naturally good at being an arsenal with his low life posts.

http://golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170113

It just makes me mad when i see someone post stupid things. I DONT THINK ITS NORMAL TO SEE A GTI MKV DRINK 3 QUARTS OF OIL BEFORE 3K MILES. UNLESS YOU ARE REALLY STUPID AND DRIVE THE CAR LIKE A MAD MAN EVERYDAY AND HAVE A K04 OR SOME KIND OF CRAZY TURBO.

lol if that was also the case, than you really dont need to change your oil, because your technically doing that almost every 1,000 miles. So in Rukbars1 case, he changes his oil every 3k by adding oil every 1k and topping it off at the end of the 3,000 miles. NEXT TIME BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH, THINK BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THIS.

You shouldnt be losing more than 1qt of oil in between oil changes. And if you are, you should be checking it routinely and adding a bit. No way is losing 3 qt of oil ok.

Im sorry Ruksbar1, but if you want to argue with me, you cant just "google" stuff and hope that you are right. Otherwise, there would be alot of cheaters that dont understand half the shit they say in class lol.

Anyways, smartest idea would be to keep your mouth shut if you dont understand something or ask a question. Not tell people "NO YOUR WRONG" or "I GOOGLED IT"

END OF THREAD!!!

JUST USE VW OIL FROM DEALER
CHECK YOUR PCV VALVE MAKE SURE ITS UP TO DATE
MAKE SURE YOU COOL OFF AND WARM UP CAR AS NECESSARY.
CHECK FOR OIL IN INTERCOOLER
CHECK SEALS

There can be many causes as to why oil burns, but its normal for oil to burn in our cars. Just not 3 quarts like Rukbars1 says.

Also, i am sticking with 1 quart of oil in my hatch. And right before the end of 3000 miles i just change my oil adding a quart gradually over the period of 3000 miles.

GOOD LUCK GUYS! AND DONT TRUST PEOPLE WHO GOOGLE EVERYTHING LOL.

EXPERIENCE COMES WITH ALOT OF WORK, NOT JUST GOOGLE.

Here is a link to the TSB found it on google
http://www.justanswer.com/audi/629si...bulletins.html

as I said up to 3 quarts is okay!

Why would you lube up the rear end in a gti? are there muffler bearings that I dont know of? There are plenty of people who add more than just a quart between changes if it wasnt normal more than half of these people would be stuck at the dealership getting new motors or getting rebuilds.

Noone said you were a kid I said you were a man child and probably physically bare their features.

"JUST USE VW OIL FROM DEALER"
