Just a few seconds of your time...

If you guys have a minute to spare please head over and cast a vote for RMJ Tactical in the Small Business Grant program. My roommate is an admin for their Facebook page and is trying to help them reach the necessary 250 votes to be considered by the judging panel for a small business grant.

For those of you that have never heard of RMJ Tactical before, here's a little bit of info:
  • RMJ Tactical's first priority is to provide tomahawks to our military personnel as soon as possible. If one of our tomahawks can aid one soldier to come home safe and whole, our company mission has been achieved. The warfighters who are buying our products are doing so with personal funds. We are now at a position to seek an NSN number which would make it easier for our troops to have our hawks supplied to them. To get an NSN number, a military group or Federal agency must make the request. If you can assist us in getting an NSN number for our tomahawks it will help us get our hawks into the hands that need them most.

Also - their Facebook page if anyone is interested in seeing the tomahawks they make. Pretty awesome stuff, IMO.

HOW TO VOTE:

"Thanks to a program sponsored by Chase and LivingSocial called Mission: Small Business℠, your support could translate into a $250,000 grant. But we need at least 250 votes at missionsmallbusiness.com to qualify. To vote for our business:

Go to missionsmallbusiness.com, click 'Log In & Support' and log in using Facebook.
Search for our business by name (RMJ Tactical).
Click on the blue Vote button next to our business name to show your support for our business."

Haha thanks guys. And to the average person a tomahawk may seem like a questionable investment but to anyone who goes camping or hiking regularly, or especially our men and women overseas it's a great buy. These things last a lifetime and don't require expensive ammunition to use.

Last time I went camping I used my roommate's tomahawk to gather a bunch of firewood in like 5 minutes flat. Super useful. Not to mention there are plenty of confirmed kills (Read: US Solider Lives Saved) thanks to RMJ tomahawks.

EOD guys love using them because instead of carrying a primary charge and a drill to blast a hole in a wall large enough to place the main charge they can just hollow it out with the hawk. They can also break up the century old roads to help dig up IED triggers after the device has been deactivated. I've also heard stories of folks using them to clean goats for barbecue. Not to mention the fact that a blade culture that doesn't really respect firearms and isn't aware of our troops ROE [Rules Of Engagement] for bladed weapons makes for some really freaked out people when they see one.

Knives have been around for some time now [like shortly after the dawn of human history] and yet most of our troops carry those too ;)

As to the discount, if you're active duty MIL/PMC/LE/EMS or anything else putting boots on the ground and doing the Lord's work you'll get jumped to the head of the line and get a pretty decent discount. RMJ will be working on another batch of 500 Shrikes in the next couple months after the Kestrels and Talons are finished up.

I'm going to see if we can do some more pass-arounds where folks can play with the hawks in person and get a better idea of what you can really do with them. Thanks everyone for the support, we finally reached our goal today and we couldn't have done it without you :)

I wish more would, I know of several who have used them to pry doors open to get to a crash victim while waiting for EMS to get on scene. As for active shooter situations the spike is perfect for breaking locks and chain. We used to have a 55 gallon drum for people to chop up at shows, but that annoyed folks a bit too much so now we just break chain and locks which is actually a bit more impressive because we don't do it the way you would think. Put the spike through an opening and rotate it around until it binds up and then just push it slowly until the chain breaks which is actually easier the harder the chain is.

If they'd had these at VT they could have breached the door instead of walking around the whole building while people were getting killed.

Liked! Looks like some nice solid products. Can't wait to explain to my wife why I'm buying tomahawks.
