I guess every car is different, but once you are tuned you have to check up on it... Unless you already are tuned....

I replaced mine at about 34k and it was not completely done, but still worn down enough to be replaced, maybe 7-8k of those miles tuned.

I replaced mine at 70k miles and it had no wear at all, could it be because someone did warranty work on it?

Sorry, phone fuck up. Anyway, i've looked at the service history on it. Bout the only perk of workin at a vw dealership lol. But from what I can tell this car's been well maintained and owned by an ocd bitch. Stupid shit like struts replaced, different interior pieces, etc. My cam follower has SLIGHT wear on the center but nothing else. Got the urge to do it after having 2 gti's and a gli come in with almost 0 compression, took the valve cover off to find the cams completely demolished and NONE of the lifters in the right place. Shit musta went BAD with the gli lol
