This works for both fill points. I cant believe i paid like 90 bucks for the dealer to do my haldex not to mention they didnt even say anything about the Rear Diff. needing a fluid change too:mad: I thought this was the same fluid. Im definitly gonna buy all this crap and get the rear diff knocked out next week.

Well 90 bucks is not that bad yo, My dealer told me $200.

But 90 bucks aint bad cause even when i did the Haldex fluid/filter change myself i paid 90 just for the fluid and the filter.

So u did good BUT i would rather do it myself cause i know i did it right!!!!!!!

Now for the rear diff, u can do this service in like 15-30 mins and is titt. I did not even have to put my car on ramps or stands, but i know my R32 well and u might have too.

The reason i did not want to lift the back end up is cause i did not want to make the car un-even when refilling the rear diff and to top it off. but if u do im sure it will be ok to do it like that.

And for the FILL brass pipe, YES this will work for the rear diff and the haldex filler holes.

As u know i have pix for that........LOL

I think this might be the part number for those 3 bolts, if it is it should come with a copper was and 5mm hex

I checked ECS and it comes up but without a picture. Where'd you get your plugs from?

Thats a different screw than what i have posted.

Did VW change that bolt patten????

If so that is a good thing cause the old HEX pattern sucks bad cause i have to use a Torx to get the bolts in and out. The HEX pattern always strips when trying to take them in/out.

That M10 would be better to torc down the bolts to 7-10ft lbs.

Do u have any pix of the M10 bolt????

M10x1 is the thread pattern of the drain plug you posted, sorry if I confused you.

Now to find me a M10x1 bolt to make into a nipple.

Any tips on how to replace the front diff oil on a 2006 R32 3.2

draining it was the easy bit. can not find any filler hole to refil it. Did find a vent plug at the top with a brass fitting about 2 inches long. Can you simply put a pipe in it and pour the new diff oil through. Is it .75 litres for the front diff or 1 lit???

bummer as the mnual does not give any instructions on diff oils.

So have an issue with quantity as to how much oi and where ....ie how to refill.
tks

Just had the gearbox/transfer box oil changed on my manual Mk5 R, its 2.6 litres for both...........think they used the drain plug to refill as noticed the garage was using a pump to get the fluid back in.
