It was an AWESOME drive today guys. I had a heap of fun.
Will post pics up after. I didn't get a lot of vid today, only 2 clips.
Highlights of the day:
- Anthony's Turbo R32 :bowvw:
- Both the Mk6 GTI's. They look great in the flesh.
- Mac Pass and Kangaroo Valley. So much fun when you don't get stuck behind anyone.

Yeah thanks for Funny for the effort, was a great day, good to get out and meet and greet and get my new Mk6 out and about.

Thanks Cameron - he tried to do a runner. But I got the wife to floor it to catch up and he turned into a side street and we exchanged details.
I have called our insurance company and informed them of the accident. I am going to let them settle it with his.
Yeah - what a way to end a great day. My wife is now feeling very guilty - this is her 2nd accident in little over a year although this time it wasn't her fault.

Let the insurance company deal with all the hassle. Thats what they are there for.
I was in a small accident a few months ago, where a lady side swiped me. She actually turned right into me. You'll find they will simply replace the panel. They won't panel beat it out, but the panels actually just bolt off and on. For example, this was the damage that was done to mine (still makes me angry when I see this pic lol)

My repairer ordered the parts from VW and they then resprayed the panel.
Tell your wife not to feel guilty, these things happen. Sometimes you've just gotta be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Thanks for the commiserations, the problem is that they will have to respray the bonnet, bumper bar and passenger door as well. Makes me sick just thinking about it.

cam is right, your mission will be to find a great spray painter.
But unfortunately it will be hard to get it back to original goodness.

It was great to meet some new faces, good to catch up with everyone as well.
Oh and we weren't being snobs at lunchtime hehe... we were just hot and decided that an air-conditioned room was way nicer to eat in than the 40c indoor seating area.
