This ain't my GTI. I found the pics on VWFixx. It's a project there and I don't think they used spacers to mount those 19" OZ Superturismo wheels because those OZ Superturismo wheels are only 8" wide and have an ET of 48

I really like that setup, what made you decide against the chrome lip style?
Did you take any pics with the wheels but stock suspension, I thought long and hard about aftermarket 17's but ended up just getting the stock 18's for looks because I'm not going to lower my car (pa roads are really crap)

They are Flik FTD's, from Edgeracing.com for $99 ea.
http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showpost.php?p=919&postcount=1

They don't come in black, they come in a matt titanium(crappy finish/weird shade of gray) I bought them with the intention of painting them black.

They are light at 18lbs ea.
They are simple to clean.
They don't draw alot of attention(especially in black).
They are inexpensive to replace if needed.

I have an anti-bling kinda style. I like chrome on other peoples cars, but not my own. I've had black wheels on all of my cars since 1987.

^me like and thought of very similar setup.....exept with michelins haha

ne rubbing?

ride?

Alot firmer than stock, especially with these dampers. Not harsh, but not stock smooth either. ALOT more response/feedback/control.

Not even close to rubbing anywhere.

These are the stock Bridegstones that came with the car,....I wanted to confirm the clearances before I upsize/upgrade my tires. Because of the high torque, speedo inaccuarccies, remaining wheel gap, etc. I think I might be able to get a 245/45/17's in there(probably Bridgestone SO-3 Pole Positions). If the 245 is too close then a 235/45 will definately fit.

Once again, i'm looking for performance for the dollar, not style.
