Hi all,
I’ve been struggling with an AFS error on my 2016 GTI (with lighting package) for over three years. Despite efforts to fix it, including replacing the headlight assembly and AFS module, the error persists. Dealerships and local shops haven’t been able to resolve it.
I’ve found a GTI being parted out and am considering swapping the entire headlight assembly, modules included. Before I proceed, I have a couple of questions:
Can I simply plug in the new assembly, or is coding required to avoid compatibility issues?
Has anyone successfully fixed a similar AFS error? If so, how?
Appreciate any guidance or experiences you can share. Thanks!
