Edit: The reset procedure below worked and resolved the issue.
Looking for help with sunroof:
2017 GTI SE - toggling the sunroof button
Push vent up - nothing happens
Pull back to slide open - opens as normal
Pull vent down - nothing happens
Push forward to slide closed - closes as normal
Convenience closing with remote - nothing happens.
Did a search on the forums and found this "reset procedure". Going to try it in the meantime, but anyone else experience/fix this?

"Sunroof Reset Procedure
- Open sunroof FULLY and CONTINUE to hold the switch in the full OPEN position for at least 5 Seconds.
- Close the sunroof FULLY and CONTINUE to hold the switch in the CLOSED position, the sunroof will immediately back up and slide open, but CONTINUE holding the switch in the CLOSED position. It will stop in the full open position.
- Procedure complete."
