Struggling to get cd player fully in when reinstalling

Trying to reinstall the cd player after dropping out the glove box.

It stops about half an inch short of where it is supposed to be and won't budge.

Anyone got any ideas?

Check the slot where you're installing it. I do know that sometimes it's just an extra push to get it past the detents. Firstly, check your cable management behind the unit to make sure that it's not causing an obstruction.

To add to the above, I found it is best to use one hand to lift the unit up (i.e., apply upwards force from beneath the unit) whilst using the other hand to push/slide the unit in. That normally gets the unit in far enough that you can then push on both sides to have it sit flush.
