I'm hoping somebody here can help.
I have a golf MK5 PD105 and it seems to have a really serious coolant leak. Its losing anything up to 2 - 3 expansions tanks worth of coolant per day. A short 5 mile drive will cause the car to lose and entire expansion tank of coolant.
So far I have had the water pump + belt replaced and I have replaced the expansion tank only yesterday and yet, the problem persists. I have noticed that, since I fitted the new expansion tank, there doesn't seem to be any pressure. I can remove the cap with the engine hot and it doesn't hiss or try to launch the cap into the sun.
I've checked pipes around the expansion tank and they are okay.
