Need to replace a leaky mechatronic but since I cannot get one9none in the country) I'm now looking at a complete used tranny. I've got an 80k Mk5 TSI and the donor tranny is out of a 2014 R line bug. Seller says it's identical even though it doesn't have the KPV code I need. I'd like to just pull the mech off of it and use it on my tranny but I'm thinking it won't work without proper coding that I cannot do with the VCDS. So, thinking about just pulling original DSG and putting the entire tranny in. Can it be done without pulling the motor, maybe dropping frame.? I do have the repair manual and VCDS..have pulled many trannys from OLD VW..many Caddy's, GM, cars trucks etc...but never a newer VW. Any insight would be helpful. TY!

The master tech that replaced my DSG a few years ago dropped it out of the car without removing the engine or subframe. I'm sure it's tight, but doable.
