If your decision is based on Fuel Con, buy a fucking motorbike.

If you are really worried about fuel don't buy a performance based car PERIOD!

GTI - has a performance based turbo engine.

R32 - has a performance based V6 engine.

stop fucking whining about fuel.

FWIW - my track car gets a cool 25l / 100km on the freeway. LMAO.

Fuel is one of the cheapest parts about owning a car in the grand scheme of things.

Move the fuck on. Like a blind man painting a wall - it's been covered already!

Wouldn't a vesper be more economical than a motorbike .

I think it's just something the GTI boys like to have up their sleeve when slagging the R32, however my retuned Audi 1.8T used a lot too, probably has a lot to do with your right foot.

it's a new shape with new tricks like eLSD,

Not sure, but i think the 'e-lsd' is just a marketing thing, and the current GTI actually has it anyway.... new GTI still doesn't have a 'propper' lsd.... i'd never trade a current for a new GTI, but i would trade a current for a Pirelli, because i mod cars....

Basically, if you modify cars, by the pirelli....

If you have a need for speed without ridiculous money... buy the pirelli....

if you want the all around motoring experiance without losing your licenece... buy the .:R

I don't think the current GTI has e-lsd.
It has ESP which is only switched on when needed. ESP is pretty abrupt as it was originally designed for low grip situations like snow. I know as with lower grip tyres the ESP can be easily triggered in the right conditions - try quick full lock from straight ahead on wet concrete.

Mk6 GTI will have some sort of e-lsd which is a modified ESP. I think the difference is the e-lsd will be "on" all the time and perhaps be less abrupt with the brakes.
Mk5's definitely don't have it. It's why there's wheelspin on corner exit with stock suspension (TC then kicks in and not ESP) and why suspension upgrades work so well on the car.

STi or EVO not worth a test drive in the decision making process? Just for thrill I'd think I'd take a squiz.
