Installing GTI side skirts on a Rabbit, what's involved?

Any drilling required? Or are all the required holes there? Also if I order the side skirts through the dealer, do all the required parts for installation come with the skirts? TIA!

ot sure you get the screws when you order them but to do it right there are about 18 holes to mAke in your rockers

Just to confirm:

what you need is this:
2 gti sideskirts
4 brackets that mount under the car into existing spots for them
4 screws.

thats it, no drilling required. if you are buying new sideskirts they will come with the doublesided tape already on them.

If you need parts pricing to do this let me know....

there are 2 long strips that run the length of the rocker panel that need to be attached with screws is there not?

yea technically you have to drill the holes, i didnt on my rabbit and they are attached without a BIG issue.. i have a small problem with the upper most rear section not seating, but thatll be fixed shortly.

other than that, clean everything really well and buy some GOOD 2 sided tape.

i have sold the gti skirts as mentioned above with out drilling the side brackets, and i have yet to hear any concerns... Most people dont want to drill.

ive fitted GTI sideskirts to my golf, there is no drilling required!!! there are fixings at each end underneach the arches (1 existing screw at each end) to hold the sideskirt to the car use some strong automotive double sided adhesive pads. i fitted mine a couple of months ago and they are still holding strong!
