did mine with hvt nightshade, i think they look good. But its alot of work and time, get 1 can HVT nightshade aprox 12 USD, and 1 can Clear coat glossy, 1000 grit sandpaper and 1500 or 2000 grit sandpaper. paint on your nightshade, no more than 3 coats, Wetsand with 1000 grit (so clear coat sticks) clean off dust, clear coat- alot of coats maybe 5 or 6 of clear, let dry and wet sand with 2000 grit sand paper then buff the shit out of them, mine are only wet sanded with 1000 grit so i could get a dullar look but 2000 will make it glossy as hell if thats what you want.

you could use tint film for windows
my buddy had his tail light done with 3m tint film and looks pretty clean.

no. You have to take out your front grille, then push down on these tab thingys and twist. It won't budge if you don't take out the grille/.

And I suggest plasti-dipping the emblem rather than full on painting it. You could peel it off if you don't like it.

n00b question, but if i were to plasti-dip the emblem, do i need to sand it down first? and... should i remove it before i plasti-dip it?:yikes:

You don't even need to sand it down. Just wipe it down real good and spray about 3-4 coats on there. Let it dry for about 15 min each coat. After that, give it about 30 minutes in the sun so it stays put or else you'll leave finger print dents.

And yes it is highly suggested to remove the emblem before you plasti-dip. Take out the grille, remove the emblem, and the remove the emblem from it's base so it's the emblem itself your painting. That's what I did.

lol all you have to do to take out your front logo is twist it to the left and it will come loose, it is on alllllll vdubs 06+ ...everyone.

if your saying its not working, your not twisting hard enough, dont be afraid that your going to break it, mine was hard to twist too but it came out.
