Yea so its a small efficient german hatchback perfect for going from A->B. Hah yea right. I have a nissan altima which I use to commute to work (real dirty nasty pothole-d area) and Im going to use the GTI for commuting around my home and on weekends. I plan to keep her super clean and modded up nicely under the hood.

Wondering whats up with everyone else? Is this ure first car you gonna use for everything.... Is this your beater for the SL65 you have hiding in the garage lol.

Same with mine. It'll be my daily driver but it'll also have some mods to make a good looking and even better performing daily driver, so it's gonna be for both WORK and PLAY

Thats whats awesome about this car is that it can be a great daily commuting type car but you can also throw some performance parts on it and take it to the track

It will be my weekly driver that is going to pull double duty as my track car as well. I ride my KTM 625 SMC alot during the week mostly. A good set of coilovers, corner balancing, more aggresive brake pads, and a set of lightweight rims with R compound tires. Should do the trick. Once the important stuff is taken care of ,I little tuning couldn't hurt, by then I am sure more tuners will be availlable to choose from.

Daily driver for me as well.

GTI does commute, town work and visiting construction sites when at work so its sometimes an off roader as well

Mine will be a commuter car with the occasional high-speed romp. I'm thinking of getting an APR chip (http://www.goapr.com/VW/products/ecu_upgrade_mkvgti.html) that I can turn on and off. Should be sweet!!

Will be used at work only by me, and will be driven like I've stolen it everywhere:laugh:

160 miles/day? Wow, I bet not only will it not be so boring anymore but it'll be more comfortable than your 86 GTI :)

The 86 GTI is my weekend fun car, I use a 99 Plymouth breeze with a 2.0 and manual trany for the primary commute car. The breeze is about to go over 170k miles.

I have a 1993 Caddy that I use for going to work and back. The GTi will be used as a weekend car, and also for going on holidays.

I have my Stage two A4 for fun, but Im sure it wont take long for the GTI to take over and the Audi be lonely...

Im going to the dealership saturday, so if all goes well and they have my options (which he said he would) ill be posting pics! Im gonna see if my dealer can tint my windows too. If not im gonna try and get them tinted sunday or even saturday. Ill also be debadging and putting on the Forge when I get it. APR wont be till after break in, probably next week. Springs will come on after this snow melts. After that im gonna just enjoy this car for a while. Then, like my audi, everyone will have one and many peoples will be nicer, so Ill go all out and do her up

Well mine is a daily driver but trust me when the time comes up for the weather to get better it will be at the track ever week. Well even though most poeple use this car for everyday you should really get to be part of your car by putting it on the track. You really feel like your understanding it a lot better when your done!! We should get some track days set up or sumthing....?

I have a £1000 Ford Mondeo Estate for all the nasty jobs, like driving the Wife around, and the Gti for pleasure only, just like a mistress

Like others, my GTI will be my first new car and it will also be my daily driver. I don't really plan on modding it that much. All I have planned right now is upgrading to an APR chip. Once that's done I'll be :burnrubber:

I think a good suspension set up with some good wheels & Tires would be the 1st thing i would do to this car.. Get rid of that understeer!
