Is there anyhting I should know about adding a boost gauge to this car? I am looking at picking up a Autometer Cobalt boost gauge for the car. I know it uses vacume to monitor the boost but where exactly are you supposed to tap into the vacume on this car?

I tapped into the hose coming off of the intake manifold, but before it directs vacuum to the brake booster, vacuum pump, and evaporation canister, and leak detection pump. When you take your cover off, look for the black plastic intake manifold at the front of the engine, and find the tube coming out on the driver's side of it. It should only be about 4 inches long, then it goes to what I think is a valve that closes when boost is produced. Underneath this valve the vacuum hose splits in 3 or 4 directions. I tapped into that 4 inch hose. I wish I had pics, but I don't. However, someone did a DIY on installing a Newsouth Boost Gauge that helped me get through my install. Search this forum, he did an EXCELLENT job.
