"GTI" in the headrests...embroidered, anyone?

has anyone had the GTI logo embroidered into their headrests, i have cloth, and im thinking about doing this...i just have to find a place i trust, and then pick the colors, im thinking grey like the car, but prolly ill pick 1 or 3 colors from the plaid pattern and use them, same font as VW uses for the GTI as well...

they must not be willing to do it, but it DEFINETLY can be done!, i saw it on a site for 40 bucks a pop, search embroidered headrest, and u can see i think its the top company has shots of work on leather...

I've got the cloth, and it's got the GTI logo embossed on the headrest... I wouldn't mind getting it embroidered in red with a white outline, which would match the colours on the seats...

I paid 1500 euro to turn them into their current form.

That's cheap considering that the leather package from
VW was nearly 3000 euro's.

Adding the GTI logo was like 20 euros or something.

Well, it's way cheaper the way I did it instead of getting the GTI with the leather package from VW.
I ended up paying half of what it would cost me to get the factory leather seats. :smile:

I don't know how it's like with you guys in the US, but over here all the extra's are extremely expensive. :frown:

According to website of VW Belgium and the info from a dealer the leather package for the GTI costs 2042.48 €. That's pretty serious difference then 3000 € for it IMO.

I being a fellow Belgian can agree with you that our optional stuff costs a lot. The most expensive ones are the oem navigation, the leather interior and the xenon headlights (which I really would love to be standard on the GTI)

Well i heard the leather seats were made by recaro, and if thats the case, better quality, so u get what u pay 4 w/ the leather package.

I believe those are custom. Therefore you can find a custom shop to do the same for you if you'd like (or change it up a bit).

Indeed, but if I have looked correct you get electric movable seats when taking the leather package instead of the manual movable seats with the plaid ones. That's the only thing that would make me take the leather package.
