Any Interest in a SoCal APR Chip Reflash Group Buy?

Is there anyone else interested in getting the APR chip as much as I am? I know there are a lot of dubbers in the SoCal area that are wanting a chip so lets see if someone can get us a cheaper price on the reflash.

there is really no revo dealer in socal is there?

ecodetuning i guess can do it but it seems like they are more for apr, and jngautosports is a ghost.

but if there would be a group buy on apr chips im down to join.

I don't know why, but I trust APR for the overall chip and easy of after installation pains. But I am nieve so maybe it is just something I am missing out on? I do like Apr and the extra programs. Does Giac or Revo come with the same features?

i think were gona have more than 5 ppl BUT most of the ppl want APR, if thats the case ill call eurocode and i'll see if we can a special if we have more than 5, and then il ask them if we can get it lower if we have more than 10.

Ask them if they will hook up military too? It is worth a shot. A lot of the companies on here are doing that. So if they do just tell them you have a military guy that wants one and maybe we can all reap more benifits? Just an Idea?

APR 91 Program
bassically david @ eurocode told me that:

5 cars or more, we get the software which is $599 + 1 FREE Program (ex stock)
10 or more, we get software $599 + 2 FREE Programs (stock, security lock out)

damn im away for 2 days n this thread blew up ...lol...well looks like u guys got a few offers already. I'm supposed to meet up with my gf's friend to go to some race tomorrow night, so ill ask him where his friend works at n if he can hook up a group buy. as of right now i just know he was willing to give me his employee discount which i heard is pretty good. but as far as a group ... he'd probably get fired for that haha so ill see if they can do a group discount. get back to you guys later unless u find something sooner.

I will bring all 7 of my guns if people want to either bring ammo or chip in for ammo. Let us know what your GF's friend says about the chip. So far we have one deal which I don't remember exactly but something to do with $599 for the chip plus 1 or 2 free programs depending on the number of people. for those of you who are kinda skeptical about GIAC they are the leading software engineering company for VW, Audi, Porsche, and Bentley and have a legendary reputation in the tuning world. they also have the option to switch programs with their flashloader. check link for more info.

for the price that Wicked Motorsports is offering you really can't go wrong. i have it in my car and i love it. just putting out another option for everyone looking to get chipped. i'm not getting anything out of this, just figured i'd ask and see what's the best they could do. plus they do real good work! :thumbup:

See I really don't know the difference, I have read a lot about APR though. From what I understand GIAC and Revo are strictly performance chips. Does that make sense? Like they are more aggressive with thier programming than APR. But hey if we could get a sweet deal on APR wouldn't you go for it?

I still have to figure out how all that works. All I saw on Apr's website was stage 1 but I know there are all kinds of different stages. Like 1 and 2 and 2.1 and 2+ or something like that. As long as I could switch back to stock at the push of a button, I will be happy.

I am about to dump 1900 on the coilovers and things, then possibly the chip and I want to get the AEM Intake like Andy has on his car, plus an exhaust(which I have NO IDEA which one to get) So I am just trying to exercise self control. ha ha ha ha.

yes but revo/giac dont have security lock out and you cant change them to stock if you want to right away, you have to go to the dealer to change it.

See I don't like that Idea very much. I would have to drive how ever far south it is to the nearest dealer instead of just doing it through the cruise stick. That is another reason I want to go with APR
