this doesn't make sense. You say it's a G5, but then go on to say it has a core 2 duo processor. If it's a G5 (which, given the 17" size, I think it is), then it has a power PC G5 processor and not an intel core 2 duo.

Just clarification...

Thanks for the correction. It is indeed Core 2 Duo.

I purchased it in September of 2006. For a couple of months Apple sold 17", 20" iMacs with the Core 2 Duo chips. I have all receipts and warranty paper work. The machine is perfect, I don't need it anymore and trying to make some money as I just got engaged and buying a house of my own.

It obviously comes with the wired mouse and wired keyboard(seldomly used) as I have a wireless keyboard and mouse as well as the Apple remote.

Thanks for the interest in the iMac.

I can't afford anywhere near a fair price- wish I could though.

Have you tried craigslist?

Yea, I tried craigslist and have had 3 offers... all bogus. "Dude I’ll trade you my laptop from 1984(exaggeration) for it" or "I’ll give you $200 for it" and some porn offer... I just don't want to do eBay and then pay commission on it you know. Craigslist has become spam central (at least my experiences with it).

Thanks for the interest on the iMac, it is being sold on Thursday.

Although I do have a 19" ViewSonic LCD VX924 for sale if anyone wants to offer me some dough. Its got 3ms response time and Half Life/ COD2 / Counter Strike looks awesome on it.
