Black Interior with Leather Seats

Good choice, that's the best combination I've seen yet. The cloth plaid pattern is kinda cool too but the leather option is the most luxurious.

Can anyone confirm if this color is actually available. It doesn't look like the athracite leather color that I've seen on most GTIs. I much prefer the black to the dark gray (athracite). The gray looks pretty dull.

I HAVE A BLACK GTI WITH LEATHER IN GRAY, I DID NOT GET THE OPTION WHEN I FACTORY ORDERED IT. I WOULD HAVE LIKED THE BLACK AFTER SEEING THE PICTURE BUT LOVE THE GRAY ALSO.

For the US spec GTI the leather is only available in black(thankfully). IMO the grey interior looks a tad bit dull.

Hi,

Ordered my GTI couple of months ago, expecting delivery end of the month.

I had 3 chioces for the interior leather. Black, Grey and Beige (Purebeige?).

I went with the Beige, with matching carpets and interior plastics etc..

Are the seats in the GTI made by Recaro? Or is that just for the R32?

the recaro seats are only standard in the R32, but in Germany I have seen you can take them in the GTI as an option instead of the normal GTI anthracite leather front seats

I'll just wait for someone with an R32 to sell their seats. It's bound to happen sooner or later.

Normally people throw out there original seats for Recaro's. By the R32 you already have leather Recaro's. I would put my money in something else than other Recaro's

True, but how many Evo's have you seen with aftermarket seats. They also come with Recaro's. There's always someone out there making changes to their car to stand out from the rest.

but change 2000 $ or beats me what they would cost there leather Recaro seats for other leather Recaro seats that also cost 2000 $ or even more. You have to be insane to do that. I wouldn't do it. I would maybe change the leather in the center by a different color but I wouldn't get rid of them

But Evo's get of those ugly red recaro's that have a cover that's made of fabric, so no leather. Those seats I would surely get rid of for some nice clean looking black leather Recaro's that look like for example the ones in the R32

When I'm gonna order my GTI later this year I'm going to try to get those black leather Recaro seats as option on my GTI. Hopeful they can and will put that into my GTI :thumbup:

R32 seats for sale is prob not gonna happen unless the car is in a majore wreckage and the guy is parting out his car.
