yes that is the idea, we have done alot of DTM Karbon Hood for VW/Audi that made eurotuner mag. Our widebody SLK is acutally in the current feature.

How much you think it will be a resonable price for it?

The MKV has a rather large hood. If the CF one had support ribs, I would say $800.00 would be fairly reasonable if it was a good weave. I would really dig a hood/grille combo that eliminates the cut for the badge and gives the capability to run grilles without the symbol. If there were mounting points for the gas shocks that raise the hood and included low pressure shocks, I would pay more.

LETS GO METS!!!

I had a CF hood from Fiber Images on my RSX, had the sides painted so it looked like the one you showed above. It might be a cheaper option for some to get a quality CF hood, but have the painting done elsewhere. Just a thought. For you NYers, I can hook you up with a very good shop and a deal. Pays to know people

That is a pretty good idea with the badgeless, I think we need someone work on a design. The idea is to have a different look for the front end by changing the grill and the hood. It will be a great combo with any type of spoiler and etc.

IMO, the black should be a little further out on both sides, so that it would match the hood line. the black should also be spread more towards the headlight in the front bumper section too.

i personally like the sleepy one the best, however the suttle one is cool too, i know i know, "go deep or go home" but i dont think it looks that great on the MKV, i also like the sleepy and suttle ones i did because they retain the original hood line....

well hope i was some help!

Kind of like this. You can see where they used covers for the notch in the hood, but you get the picture.

We are still open for suggestion, we should have it added to our www.dtmkarbon.com line so there should be a carbon fiber version. We have a body shop so there shouldn't be any problem if we need to do paint scheme. BTW we could get the OSIR CF hoods for now, until our version comes out.

Reviving a wounded thread...

I modified the "Mean" boser done by ZoomBy because I think the actual hood looks cleaner this way...

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a372/AutoXinVR6/MkV_Mean2.jpg

If the boser was made this way, I'd go for it.

Opinions?
What price would you pay?
