o wow hope you're ok was it that bad? how fast or was it at an intersection? did you get that S.O.B's info? but if your neck is hurting you may want to mention it..

Hope you're feelin better soon but definately something to get looked at. A friend of mine was rear ended and had lawyers and whatnot calling her for the next few days. So just make sure you take care of yourself first, then the ride of course.

Awwww, very sorry to hear that. Was there damage to the bumper or the hatch? Did you swap info, or call the cops and file a report? I'm assuming that he was at fault, right?

yeah i got as much info as i could and took pictures but it was dark so you cant see much in them. The stupid fucker was in a rental car... i have to call the rental agency today to get more info. my bumper is scratched and i have a few dents in my license plate.. he was probably going around 30mph or so.. not 2 fast but I was completely stopped so i got bumped pretty well. I think i'm more mad then anything the guy even admitted to me that he was looking at something else and not looking at the road :paddle:

i just went and looked...the car doesn't look that bad you can hardly tell unless you're looking close.. You can definetly feel the dents though. i'll probably get it checked out today or tomorrow

sorry to hear that pal, drive safely and get farther away from those aggressive drivers~ Fortunately GTI is quite safe a car that will protect you from serious injury.

Sorry to hear this. Even if you cannot see much damage on the outside, the rear-ending could have damaged internal parts behind the bumper. Make sure it's properly investigated and repaired.

Cheers,

it'll survive. my rabbit got hit twice, each one is $5k estimated, it never died. Still riding it hard.

If I were you I'd only take it to a VW dealership. You're not paying for it, so why not get the absolute best? There are plenty of horror stories invlolving 'mom 'n pop' shops.

30 mph, no brakes might get your car close to being totaled , so either brakes were used and his bumper went under yours , or he was going much slower , as the damage can be hardly seen in a little distance

i went and talked to the guys at VW today and i'd actually be taking it to the body shop place that they use for all of their cars anyway cuz i'm pretty good friends with one of the owners :) so it will actually end up saving me time because vdub wont have to sublet anything..

i really hope its not bad...i've never been in an accident before so i dont have anything to compare it to, so i may just be over reacting.. we'll see tomorrow :iono:
