I've started to doubt if I still even want to buy a mk5 GTI and especially with the rumour of that oncoming R-GTI with 265 HP and AWD

the GTI-R is on the top of my list ATM. especially if it is a turbo charged motor and not N/A the tuning posibilities would equal probably 300AWHP+.

If it has the same engine as the current S3 an TTS it will be perfect to tune above 300 WHP and especially with the AWD. Probably also can be equiped with the new Haldex controllor. That thing would almost fly.

I figure also by the time it hits my side of the world will probably be fall 2009 if not spring of 2010 and my car will be paid off completely so a MKV as a trade in should be a substantial down payment with them holding their market value so well. plus all the money I would get back after I part out if I can not swap a few parts to the new chasis.
