Adding Subs to OEM Headunit.

So has anyone done or plan on installing Subs with the OEM Headunit? I want to but know I will need the Line Output Converter. Now as for the speaker to tap into. It seems as though the door speakers there are 3 on each door. 1 tweeter, 1 mid, 1 sub (at least low frequency). Would I tap into the "sub" one then since it's already reading the low frequencies? Anyone have experience with LOC's and wanna add anything?

i had an LOC in my old car... got it installed at best buy and i think they adjust the stock car speakers but only if it is needed

Did the OEM Bass Dial/Adjuster mess with the subs?

yea but it did it very little... what i did was installed a sub level controler and mounted it on inside of my center console inbetween the 2 front seats and i could control the bass through the amp directly.. IMHO that is the way to go if u dont wanna get an aftermarket radio
