Redline Motorworks is proud to offer golfmkv members great pricing on Quaife limited slip differentials!

The Quaife torque biasing differential enables your car to accelerate quicker and corner faster. The Quaife Differential powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just one. With an ordinary open differential, standard on most cars, a lot of precious power is wasted during wheelspin under acceleration. This happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with less grip (along the path of least resistance). The Quaife, however, does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has the better grip, and biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel.

Do you know if anyone has upgraded clutch packs for the DSG (GTI as i've heard that the R32 clutches are in fact different?) yet? I plan on doing both at the same time if possible.

I will check with ACT, Clutchmasters, Exedy & Spec (the clutch companies I deal with) on Monday to see if any of them have anything.

LSD's are the shit...Its a great upgrade for our GTI's since the torque output is so high.

Can you give us an informed comparison between Quaife and Peloquin LSD's?

The price difference is The primary reasons are that the DSG diff comes with the ARP bolt kit; the unit is in lower production than the 6 Speed, thus it requires more machining than the 6 speed diff.
Performance is greatly improved. This link will help you understand what limited slip differentials do. There is a shorter explanation in my initial post as well.

The differential weighs about 4 pounds more so it's negligible.

Installation is straight forward and takes less than a day. You cannot take this to any old shop around the corner. If they can't give you an accurate quote or seem unsure about installing the differential, don't let them touch your car:tongue:

You do not need an upgraded clutch.

I cannot say too much about Peloquin since I do not deal with them.
I know both are very reputable companies when it comes to limited slip differentials. I know Quaife offers a limited lifetime warranty. As far as I know, they are basically the same.
