Can this be removed? I know how to do it, but it isn't possible on some cars. Has anyone done it on the GTi?

Yellow in lights???

You are being to vague. Which lights are you talking about? What is this "yellow"? Do you mean the fog lights?

Exactly. While looking at it I thought it might be just a yellow bulb and I could change that to a different color like on some cars, but it's an actual piece. I also want to change the color of my reflectors. I don't like the yellow on United Gray. That's the only thing that bothers me. I'm thinking about a clear one, and I want my turning signals white. I'll let you guys know how it goes. I'll be doing it sometime this week.

the turning siganls are LED, and look like they arent any kind that they sell in stores. so i think u might have a tuff time finding a way to change those

I'm not changing them. I'm just taking them out.

 Why would you take out your turn signal?? They are there for a reason...

It's still going to work. It just won't be yellow. It'll be a white flashing light. It looks alot better, to me.

I'm not too worried about those. I'll post pictures when I'm done with my headlights.

You can always do this
Replace the bulb for a brighter whiter look, but you still will have yello/amber cause thats the color the casing is i believe

That looks good. So just switch the bulbs? Can't you take the casing out? Either way... ^^that's what I want.

besides any color but amber is illegal! white blue green dont matter if its not amber you liable for a ticket, and its a fix it ticket so you'd have to show them you fixed it as well... if you get caught that is. just letting you know!

So is window tinting to an extent, but it's cool. I'll still do it. hah. I live in Louisiana. They're not too strict about it. Cops here are way too lazy to go through all the work just for lights and tint.

I'm doing 20% all the way around on Friday. Legal limits are 50% in the front, 35 in the back, and anything on the back window. hahah.

Yeah you should be able to find blue. I changed mine to red, they look good when the L/R parking lights are enabled when the car is parked but other wise it is a little weird because half the light is amber the other part is red

I got the bulbs at a Checker auto parts store, I don't remember what type bulb it was. I just asked them to look in the computer. There is a bulb guide on this forum though, check that
