I got 2. On my right upper arm I have the outline of Australia with a Kangaroo and a star and details, as I lived in Australia growing up. On the inside of my left arm I have KPMK in a vertically it's the initials of my family members. I'll post pictures later on.

i get a better deal if i sit longer i have 3 8 hour sessions and 1 4 hour session so far i go for another 8 next saturday:thumbsup: the8 hour sessions cost $500 and the 4 hour was $400 so go figure :eek: the outline was nothing the upper inner arm suxxxx and the elbow oh and the wristbone is a good spot, ill post more pics after saturday hopefully its finished i need cash to mod now i got a new ride:smoking:

The outline was a piece of cake and the shading wasn't to bad at all, the areas that hurt the most were when my artist was getting close to the shin and close to the ankle. trying to sleep that night was a little difficult, trying to lay a certain way so that it didn't get stuck to the sheet, had to switch sides of the bed with my boyfriend so i could hang my leg off the side. The next day was pretty bad, when i first got up, my leg was so sore i could barely walk. won't keep me from getting more work done. totally addicting.

I got my tat of the Shotokan Karate of America tiger a couple of months ago. I waited until I had my black belt for a few years before doing it. I have always loved our tiger logo and it was the only thing I wanted in my skin. Not the best photo, the tattoo is still healing here so it's a little red.

Perhaps the species thing is correct. I's just saying that in the tattoo community that fish is usually referred to as a Koi. It's part of the whole Japanese movement that's been going stir crazy in the tat world. I have a friend who tats and there are definitely alot of people getting those lately. They look nice. If you're really thinking of getting a tattoo then I'd suggest anyone to be artistic/creative and try to come original. After all, it's something your going to have for the rest of your life. Both of my pics on page 1 of this thread have deep sentimental value, therefore there will never be a chance of regret. Anyways that's the advice that was given to me so I'm just passing it on. Don't get a tat unless you know it will have sentimental value for years to come. Makes sense to me.:iono:

I personally know of 2 retards at Jim Ellis, one who refused to work online with me on my vehicle purchase, and another who couldn't find windshield washer fluid when I went there to see if they had a good service dept. He brought out water instead and couldn't figure out where to pour it. As for the Vag-Com, I'll try to contact the guy on Tuesday but he's flaky. What happened to your salesmen at Jim Ellis???? The Murano is a great car, but I wanted the 4.5 V8 :burnrubber: but in the end it was still an SUV and it would never really handel well

Thanks! It's just the beginning. although, I won't be doing anymore tribal. I'll be doing both my arms full sleeves, with stuff coming onto my chest and back, along with "stuff" coming down onto my hands. I'm not a good artist, so, i've been lazying coming up with ideas. I just need to get off my ass, take in my ideas and some pictures of themes and whatnot to my guy and have him come up with something... yeah... good idea. time to stop being lazy! haha.

When it comes to tattoo's, I am very particular. For instance, I have never seen a tatt on someone (or in a shop) that I thought was suited for me. I feel that if I am going to modify my body, I should have a damned good reason for it... not for some passing fad or cliche. Because of this, I only have 2 tattoos so far... but I plan on getting at least 3 more to catch up to the Mrs.

It is in the chinese word "chi" (energy). It will probably be the only tatt on my body that I didn't design. We chose the back of our neck because of an ancient belief that it is a location of great power... the human soul.

The one I drew and had inked back around 1994 or so. The artist did it in one 4.5 hour session. I have always had an old feeling towards the mythical Dragon... a bond of sorts... so I had one placed on my right arm. It's about 7 inches tall.

I have already finished designing my next one. It is of a Tiger that is walking towards you, but you only see his stripes... no body outline. He is my animal sign in the Chinese zodiac and will compliment my Dragon by going on my left arm. He will also be about 7 inches tall. Coincidentally, in the Chinese zodiac, my wife falls under the year of the Dragon.

More than likely gonna do shading in the color, i really trust my artist with whatever he comes up with and if i don't like it then he won't put it on me. Damn, alot of you guys and gals have some really nice work. I just have a few, but no pics all of them on my left shoulder.

The one I am most proud of is of my first police dog "Ben's" left paw. It is the actually paw print after it was put on paper with an ink pad. Pretty happy with it and everytime I see it I think about the times he saved my ASS. He is now retired, when he passes I am adding wings and a halo, it will be the only color I get.

I am also doing the same type idea on the backs of my arms when we have kids using their foot prints.

I own a MK1 Golf and I'm selling my Evo. When it comes to cars, my loyalty is straight Euro, but I can appreciate a few JDM cars as well. Not all, but a few.

I know it's not everyone's taste, and that's fine, but it encompasses a lot of meaning for me.

In a sense, it symbolizes my love for cars and my passion for driving and pretty thorough experience at it. Couple that with my child-like obsession with Japanese culture, and that's the reasoning behind it. I try not to view it as solely having Japanese undertones, but rather "automotive" meaning.

I studied Japanese as a language throughout my education and really respect and appreciate their culture as whole.

When most people think of the Japanese driving symbols, it's the Green and Yellow "Soshinoya" adjacent-parallelogram symbol that you see which means "young, amateur, or novice driver". I think it's pretty lame to advertise that you suck at driving, and I don't! :biggrin:

This Orange and Yellow symbol, however, is pronounced "Wakaba" or sometimes "Kareha" and means "elder or advanced" driver.

I didn't want to do something corny like getting "Love" or "Honor" tattooed somewhere in Japanese Kanji. I wanted something unique that encompassed a lot of my passions.

EVERY tattoo artist should take care of this kind of thing for free. It's not your fault there was a lack of attention to detail. I know I probably don't need to chime in on this because Junior already clarified it. But I just wanted it to be clear that no tattoo artist should charge to clear up their work (period).

You should wait 2-3 months before you get stuff touched up. I'm guessing you probably just got your work done, right? If you touch up too early before all the ink settles and the skin completley heals, you can risk damaging the artwork and develop scar tissue (not good). This can be especially true with solid one color designs. Some places will tell you 4-6 weeks but honestly I would give it a bit longer. I've waited 2+ months on all mine and the results have been great.

Also as it has been said, artists should always do the touch up work for free. Well not really free since you paid for it the first time around but you know what I meant.

^^^On my tat that took 15 hours there are areas where there are 4 and even 5 colors layered on top of one another and I went back every 2 to 4 weeks and it never scarred. I agree you should wait atleast a couple weeks. But I don't think you have to wait months to get it touched up. I never did anyway.

Well I have two tattoo's Ill try to take some pics later but because I am under the firm belief that every tattoo should tell a story. Heres mine.

3 years ago my dad passed away, and my older half brother whom Ive never met flew out from Norway. It was a classic example of whenever a door closes a window opens. My brother and I are now very close, and to symbolize the experience in my life of losing my father, and meeting my brother. I got our last name in the Japanease Cartoon style letters, with some fire and water around it and I put the Kanji symbols for older brother, and father on either side.

A few months later I realized I was a tattoo addict, and finally went and got a Marine Corps tattoo on my forearm. Only I went crazy like we all do and did a sleeve from wrist to elbow. Theres an Eagle, Globe, and Anchor(Marine Corps symbol) with my M.O.S. below it, the kanji symbols for "Tefulhundel" or "devil Dog" (nick name for Marines given to us by the Germans after we kicked their asses in the battle of Bealleu(sp?) Wood in France in World War I, then on the back sid eof my forearm I got a skull with an American Flag coming out of one side of it, and a checkered flag out the other because the only thing I love more than being a warrior, is racing..and winning, and all of that is strewn with some fire and water and smoke lol. I havent gotten it colored in yet, but itll probably be another 10 hours worth of coloring.

After thats done, I am going to have a poem I wrote tattoo'd on my left leg from my knee spiraling downward around my shin and calf till it gets to my ankle, and Im hoping to have it done in a kind of 3D, really badass looking text.

Ya we do market clothing lines every day but a tattoo does'nt come off easily and fashion/trends/cars change all the time, Tattoo's are there damn near forever.

This is my second subaru. I used to be a HUGE evo fan but the first time I drove a WRX, I fell in love, and even more so with my STI.
