yes it is 3m sticky tape and it does stick!!! if you glue it, and try prying up, it will bend the lid.:thumbup:

Isn't what you in the UK call Diamond Black a pearl effect colour and exactly the same colour as Black Magic Pearl Effect for the rest of the world?? I looked for it on the VW UK site and according to them Diamond Black Pearl Effect is the same as the EU and NA Black Magic Pearl Effect colour.
