I was turning onto a street and I hit what looked like a chunk of cement block. I'm really pissed. I've been so careful with curbs.. not a scratch and then.. this.

Obviously they'll never look the same but is there any hope for repair? The wheels look like they're machine finished so I don't think it's even possible :frown:
How much would it run me to have it replaced vs. repaired?

what you could do is get some good sand paper and sand it down so its somewhat flat, you wont get it perfect. after that buff it out so it brings back a shiney finish. i curbed one of my rims and thats why i did. still havent replaced it yet but it looks better than it is.
try it out though and that will at least hold you off until you can get a new one.
(the gash looks too deep to really be repaired and look like the others)

Got mine curbed recently also :T Sorry to hear about it man hurts alot...
I called my dealership today n I heard that they do fix the scratch on my rims (similar to yours but a bit smaller) Try checking out your dealership or other mechanic shops to see if there's a fix... There should be one..
Hope you didnt land any scratches on your lower valences either :E
The dealership quoted me for 150CAD to get the thing fixed... but I asked other mechanic shops and said they would do it for 80 CAD
Dont know how much replacements are :T
hope this helps

Thanks for the tip. Nope, no scratches on my lower valence. Actually, when I hit the rock (or whatever it was) it sounded like it hit my lower valence. I checked it and it looked fine so I just got back in the car and left. I didn't think to even check the wheel. Two days later, I finally notice it

Oh man that sucks! My cars huffs and they are so freaking delicate, I do have scratches here and there, but not as deep as yours...DAMN!
The fact that they are 18' pose a danger, all you have to do is hit a nice pothole and your weels is gone! That blows, but the car looks like nothing on earth with those wheels!

bring it to an alloy wheel repair shop. They can usually help you out but it'll probabl require putty/cement, sanding and paint rather then getting the scratch out (which is impossible).
