I placed an order with them back on January 31 and have waited patiently for them to make and send my custom German number plate.

Their website says that it can take up to 13 business days to complete and ship an order, that's fine I know it takes time.

My complaint is that I emailed them twice before today asking about the status of my order. They never wrote back. I called them to ask about the status of my order...all you get is a recording that says they do not answer the phone and to email them, that all emails are answered within 24 hours. (no they aren't)

They take their payments through paypal, I got a receipt from paypal...but not once have europeanplates.com emailed me anything...Usually when you place an order whatever company emails you with a confirmation/thank you/receipt/etc of some sort...

I just sent another email asking about the status of my order and will wait to see if they write back...I don't think they will.

Has anyone ordered from them before? If so, did you experience any problems?

I've never ordered from them, but I have from customeuropeanplates.com, and have been happy twice. If it doesn't work out with europeanplates, i recommend the customeuropeanplates.

The email confirmation, did they send that pretty quickly after your order?

If they don't write me back and answer the email I sent today I am going to email them one more time and tell them that I am going to have to request a refund through paypal and let them take care of it.

I have sent emails to info@europeanplates.com (3x), sales@europeanplates.com, and orders@europeanplates.com....no response at all to any of them.

I am going to give them a couple days to respond to the most recent email (2-27), if they don't answer I will write one more to them and explain how if they do not respond I am going to have to request a refund...if they still don't respond I will just have to turn it in to paypal.

The thing is...I shouldn't really have to write to them so many times simply to ask for a status. I mean, I do realize that it takes some time to make the thing, but seriously...not having any contact at all with a customer who has already made his payment. It's just not very good customer service. And it's really frustrating to have to resort to calling only to have a recording tell you that they do not answer phone calls!

do they send you a mounting frame along with the plate?

I should have done this earlier, but I went to BBB online and just found out they have an unsatisfactory record with 28 processed complaints in the last 36 months.

I also found another phone number for them that isn't listed on their website...I will be calling it tomorrow.

I just sent another set of emails to them telling them that I am pretty frustrated at their lack of customer service and that they have 24 hours to respond to my email (according to their recording they respond to all emails in 24 hours) after that I will turn it in to paypal to arrange a refund.

I did a google search on the company and have found a handful of forums where people have had the exact same problems.

Anyway, I have already placed an order with another company and not only have I been sent a receipt and an invoice (without having to ask), but they have already made it and sent it on its way to me...complete with a tracking number. It should be here Monday.

The plate with custom lettering was only $15.25. Best price I have seen.

Well, guess what?

They didn't respond at all! Big surprise there.

I have opened an "Item not received" dispute with paypal and explained everything that has happened. Now it's up to europeanplates.com to respond to that. Doubt they will.

I hope they do because I don't want to have to file a complaint with the BBB also.

I found europeanplates.com profile on Vortex and sent an IM explaining that I have been emailing for the past three weeks and had to turn it in to paypal.

Also found a bunch of other forums where people seem to have this same exact problem, or they just keep getting the run around from them.

Sometimes someone from the store comes on to defend themselves and say pretty much the same thing in every thread, "errors happen, things get backed up, there must have been some mistake, we've been in business for a while and deal in very high volume so it probably got backed up" etc

...while I understand that mistakes can happen, it's just a little odd that the same exact mistake seems to happen all too often to a large number of people...and that still is not an excuse for taking a customer's money and having no contact with them at all. Especially the whole not answering the phone thing.

Let me first say, I know nobody really cares, I am just doing this to keep track of this situation for myself and also incase someone else searches to see if anyone else has had trouble with europeanplates.com.

HELL MUST HAVE FROZEN OVER!!

After all I have been through someone, Tyler, from europeanplates.com has FINALLY responded to me! I only had to send numerous emails for three weeks, call a pointless number numerous times, and track him down through different web forums for a simple response.

I got an IM from him on Vortex, this is the conversation:

(1:47 AM 3-3-2007) ME: Hi, my name is -------- and I have been emailing europeanplates.com for the past 3 weeks asking about the status of my order. I ordered and paid for my order on Januray 31, payed through paypal. I have tried calling. I have emailed numerous times requesting a status to my order. Nobody has replied at all. In the last email I sent I said that I would have to turn it in to paypal to arrange a refund if nobody answered. (the recording I get whenever I try to call says that all emails are answered within 24 hours) Nobody answered, so I had to open a dispute in paypal. Please let me know something.

---------

(4:10 PM 3-3-2007) europeanplates.com: We have replied to every email. Do yo uhave another email address. I will chekc the order as well.

Tyler

---------

(6:38 PM 3-3-2007) ME: I'm sorry, but that just isn't true. I have only one email address, the same email address that every message I sent came from for the past three weeks. There is not a single item/message/anything from europeanplates.com in my inbox or bulk folder at all (my bulk folder goes back to Feb2).

You didn't find it odd that, if I had got a response, I kept emailing for so long asking for a status and saying that nobody is responding to me?

The transaction has been turned in to paypal already. In the last email I sent I said that I will give 24 hours to get a response then I will be forced to turn it in to paypal. I sent it on March 1. No response. I gave 24 hours because honestly I was a little fed up that for three weeks straight and all the emails I had sent went unanswered. On top of that, when I try to call the recording says that all emails are answered within 24 hours...not one email I have sent has been answered.

I no longer care for the plate since I have since placed an order with another company, who (without me having to email them) have already sent me three emails, a receipt, an invoice, and a notice that it has been made and shipped...that took all of 2 days.

I just want a refund. I have waited patiently for my order and shouldn't have had to track someone down all over the internet just to get a response.

Please just refund my money, you can log into paypal and see the dispute.

Thank you.

What a bunch of crap. First, that I had to track someone down just to get a resonse to have them tell me that they did respond to every email, then try to ask if I have another email address...as if I am stupid enough that, even if I did have another email address, I wouldn't think to look there also?

I just want my money back from them. I have waited long enough for just a response, which, it seems, is just too much to ask for from them. I have already ordered a custom plate from someone else that only took 2 days to make and ship out to me.

I wonder if he will tell me the same exact things that he has told numerous other people on other forums who have had this same problem, "it must have got lost in the mail" "it was on back order and will be shipped out tomorrow" "we deal in large volume and sometimes things just get misplaced" "it was returned to us through the mail since we put the wrong address on the package" etc etc etc.

Boostsolutions went bankrupt. Maybe europeanplates didn't go bankrupt.

That sucks, sorry to hear that.

Yeah, $31 is not all that much, but still...that is $31 that I could use being a jobless college student.

I got this message on Vortex:

europeanplates.com (11:59 AM 3-4-2007): I sent the emails again. The plate has bee ncreated. best I can do is refund the shipping and Dsicoutn the rest of the order. I can ship it Monday, however it may have shipped last Tnursday on a previous drop off. Let me know if this sounds fair. If yo uahve another email I can certainly send you are replies. No BS here. I have them saved under a folder.

Tyler

I still have no emails from them at all. I do have an email from paypal saying that got a "partial refund for delay" of my order.

It's funny that I finally track someone down right at the same time that my order is going to be shipped.

I wrote back on Vortex and said that I guess that would be ok as long as I got some type of tracking/delivery confirmation number so that I know for a fact that it has been sent. I also gave them my school email address ( i never use it, i didn't even know what is was until i looked it up) and asked them to email that one since somehow every single email they have sent to yahoo seems to just vanish.

Ok, this is werid. I just checked my yahoo email and had three emails from europeanplates.com that were just sent today, they read:

(sent today, it looks as though this is a FW email, originally sent on 2-27)
Hello,

We have implemented a new order process in house so the guys are a bit
behind, overall this process will cut a week off the order process. I
apologize for the delay but can assure you we are working to get all
pending
orders out.

Thank you,

Tyler

(sent today, it looks as though this is a FW email, originally sent on 3-1)
Hello,

We have sent a reply every time. Is there another email we can reach
you at?
You last email was set to spam for the repeat emails.

Tyler

(sent today, in reply to the notification of payment email sent by paypal back on Jan.31)
Hello,

Hopefully you get this. I can not refund this order it is a custom plate. I will however assure it is shipped out Tomorrow if it has been already.

Tyler

So from the looks of the two forwarded emails, it seems as though europeanplates.com did respond to me. However, something is either very screwed up with their email system or they were really never sent in the first place. Why did I get the three emails that were sent to me by them today, but never before?

I don't know what is going on, but I have been promised that the plate and seals will go out tomorrow if they haven't already. That and I got a $10 refund for the delay in the order.

EDIT! Ok, I know now how and why I got these three emails in my yahoo account, because my school email address is set up to forward every email I get to my yahoo email since I never use the account. So, once I gave europeanplates.com my school email they emailed me three times, which were in turn sent to my yahoo account.

Well, today I was promised I would be sent a confirmation of delivery for my plate from europeanplates.com. Either by email or a message on vortex giving me a tracking number or delivery confirmation number...some way to prove that it had been sent.

...needless to say, I didn't get any type of message at all.

On a sidenote, the plate that I ordered last Tuesday just came in today. Less than one week to have it made and sent to me. I posted a link to the place I got it earlier in this thread. The quality is awesome, really nice.

I just got a notice from europeanplates.com that my item has been sent out.

I didn't get an email, rather, an IM through vortex.

It was sent out yesterday afternoon. I did get a USPS tracking number...which does no good really, all I get is "the package was accepted at..."

I wonder if they remembered to send the seals also? I have read in quite a few places that they seem to always forget those.

Anyway, it looks like I may finally get my plate from them. It only took a lot of effort on my part to make sure I got it.

Yeah, shouldn't be too bad. I got my seals.

mach5
03-08-2007, 08:32 PM
Ok, europeanplates.com decided to go ahead and try to close the dispute on paypal. They consider the transaction as "complete" because they finally sent some type of "tracking information" (even though you can not track a package through usps, you can only see that it was accepted)

Even though the dispute is an "Item NOT Received" dispute...which means, until I receive the item it ishould not be closed. Funny that they never responded once to anything on the paypal dispute, they just randomly decide that it is complete and move it to be closed.

That kinda pissed me off since I do not consider the transaction complete at all until I get what I paid for. It may come damaged, wrong, without the seals, or not even come at all.

Now I cannot log back into it and post any more comments about the transaction to say that I have not received anything from them.

Pure BS.

I really hope I get my order, all of it, and it is correct.

I wish I had four hands...so I could give them four

well if it's usps delivery confirmation # then they sent it out.

mach5

well if it's usps delivery confirmation # then they sent it out.

That may be true, but they have a pretty good reputation for forgetting parts of their orders. There is also the chance that it may be wrong or damaged.

The point is that the transaction is not complete until I receive what I ordered.

If it takes them this long to complete and ship an order then something is not right there. If they deal in that much of a high volume then they should atleast let their customers know that their order may take longer than what is quoted on their website...instead of their customers having to search all over the web to track them down just to get in contact with them to see what is going on.

When I placed my order from mattman-enterprises.com I got three emails from them without having to contact them at all, a receipt, an invoice and a shipping notification. They took my order, made the custom plate, sent it out, and I received it all in less than a week. That is grade A service. The price was awesome too.

The package came in today!

The box looked as though it had been run over several times so I was a little worried as to what things might look like inside. The plate was bent all out of shape. I bent it back, no problem. They remembered the seals! Although one of them is wrong, not what I ordered. I also received a free small oval "D" decal.

The packing job was not that great, it could have been better and that would have kept the plate from being bent so much...but then again, it wasn't that big of a deal to bend it back straight.

Anyway, I never have to deal with them in any way ever again. They did come through in the end and they did issue me a $10 refund for the delay, but I really don't think I should have had to go through what I did. They really need to make some changes to their customer service department.

I still would not recommend them to anyone.

whats the point of the fake plates?

do you guys use them on your cars?

do you just get the same plates you have on the car in a euro type style?

cops in australia do regularly checks on the plates
