XM - Sirius Swap Please Help

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the world of GTI's but not to new to VW's. I just up graded to a 2006 Tornado Red GTI with Leather and just the 17" wheel since I live in the great northeast from a 99 beetle. So anyways I have been looking into getting rid of my XM for Sirius receiver but the problem is that I don't want to change the stock radio just yet. So I found this website (vw.oempl.us) on here a while ago and was wondering if anyone has bought anything from it or if anyone else knows how to go about this switch?

I heard you can do the conversion for about $100.00 bucks and can get the parts and service done at Best Buy. You don't have to change the head unit, just the reciever and antenna. I think the biggest problem you might run into is getting the XM antenna out of the Shark Fin, and swapping in a Sirius one... Howard Stern talked about it alot the first few weeks he was on, I'd call Best Buy to see what they can do.

^^^^ that's what you need bro... I think they charge $50.00 because there used, but it probablly doesn't matter. I think a new tuner is around $100.00, but I would have a pro do the work if you don't know how. I love Sirius because i'm a Howard Fan, other than that there really simmilar.

It takes 5 mins to swap in a GTI.

You can do it yourself or you can pay $16.99 at Best Buy to swap out the tuner boxes. You will still need to purchase the box. I work as the supervisor over the Mobile department at Best Buy. Any more $ is robbery for a job that takes like 5 min. It is located under the plastic cover under the passanger seat. You shouldn't have to swap out the antenna's.
