I'm trying to figure out if my rear wiper and washer are not working. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the rear wipers should move when I move the wiper control arm up one position and then forward toward the front of the car. When I do that they do not move.

Also when the wipers are in the normal position (Off) I can pull on the arm and the front washers will spray and the wipers will move. If I push the arm, the rear wipers don't move and don't spray.

Are they not working or do I not know how to use the freakin rear wipers?

Sounds like something is broken. You're not doing anything wrong. Take it to the dealer (as you probably know already).

Yeah I guess I'll call them and see what's up.

Make sure your trunk is fully closed! I thought mine were broken, but the trunk wasn't totally closed, they won't work unless it is.

Could be frozen? its been cold here and I can't get my washers to SPRAY...it sucked the other morning when it snowed and i couldn't see crap....Anyway i thought they were broken!! I was mad, but at lunch I went out and checked on them, and magically they sprayed and wiped. But now my damn HEADLIGHT washers won't retract all the way, because i think ice formed on the tracks. anyway they are sticking out like 1-2cm.

Damn VWs, I swear when it gets freezing cold, my damn car rattles everywhere and creaks i never heard before....and to add frozen washer nozzles, i should have gone pkg2 just for the heated washers!!!! next time!!!

Alright, I'll try checking the things you mentioned. I'll update with my findings.

And does anybody know if the front and rear wipers are on the same fuse?

I don't expect you need to do the first step (move control arm up one position). Just put the arm forward for wipe and forward more against spring for wash/wipe.

Alright for some reason they started to work this morning. And it was 10 degrees last night, so the car was frozen. They just started moving and they even spray. IDK what was up, but w/e...
