Buying Oil and Oil filter

I'm thinking of doing the oil changes myself. Anyone have any links to online stores that sell OEM oil filters for our cars? Cheapest place I've found so far is at drivewire.com: $13.20 each plus free shipping on orders over $50.

Also, has anyone taken theirs to a shop for oil changes? How much did it cost?

Looks like you an oil change on a VW is a little bit more involved. You'll need a special tool to drain the oil filter before removing it. Do a search here or in VWVortex...
