For AP Studio Art, I am doing cars as my concentration....specifically photography. Obviously I am happy about this but my main camera is out of commission and does not look like it's going to be fixed soon. So my options are a small older canon p+s I have or to buy another camera. Obviously I am looking for advice, what camera would you recommend that takes decent quality pictures?

I would prefer a DSLR that is easy to manipulate IE change the exposure etc. Can any of you guys recommend a quality one for a good price?
Thanks

Perhaps a Canon Xt or a 20D? What is your budget?

I actually picked up a 20d, thanks!

art + cars is usually no bueno man... unless you can think of ways to shoot a car differently. even though alot of the shots on here of cars are nice, youll noticed that all the angles are very similiar.
